These are the best diet plans available on the market today and listed in no particular order as each of these plans has incredible but different benefits.
Nutrisystem is probably the most well known meal delivery service on the planet thanks to a ton of celebrity endorsements and TV ads.
Pros
They have a wide range of meal plans that are mostly heat and eat so it’s great for someone that doesn’t have a ton of time to cook. The meals come portion and calorie controlled so you don’t have to think about it or “count” calories.
On this plan you will get to enjoy vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy and even desserts.
However, they have plenty of options if you are a vegetarian or do not want dairy in your diet so they can easily accommodate any dietary preference.
Cons
It can be tough to incorporate Nutrisystem into your life if you still have to cook for a family as you may find yourself heating/cooking one meal for you and cooking an entirely different meal for the husband and kids.

Beach body runs some of the most well known workout at home programs ever made. I’m sure you have heard of P90X or Insanity.
While those two programs are really geared towards men or very hardcore fitness enthusiasts they also have plans geared towards women that are absolutely phenomenal.
Pros
With BeachBody, you get to workout at home at your own convenience while following general nutritional guidelines that allow you to make your own meals under a plan or use their easy to follow recipes.
Because you are cooking the full meal yourself, this makes it much easier to cook for a family.
There are also a few great workout plans to choose from depending on the level of activity you want to engage in and the speed at which you want to lose weight or get in better shape.
Cons
This is not a heat and eat program and if diet is your main focus over working out, it may not be the best option for you.

Bistro MD originally came about with the intention of providing nutritionist approved heat and eat meals that tasted better than what Nutrisystem had to offer.
Since that time Nutrisystem has vastly improved the quality and taste of their meals and we don’t believe Bistro MD has a leg up on taste today.
With that said some people still prefer Bistro MD for it’s vast flavor profile and dietician approved food.
Pros
A lot of food choices and Bistro MD can accommodate virtually any dietary restrictions you may be working with.
In fact, BistroMD is the only diet delivery program proven to treat Metabolic Dysfunction so if your weight issues stem specifically from a slow metabolism this may be the right choice for you!
Cons
From a dietary standpoint, Bistro MD is hard to beat. We do believe some of the nutrisystem plans may actually be slightly better tasting now but it’s not hard to add a little salt and pepper to Bistro MD’s dishes and make them delicious.

Weight Watchers was founded in 1963 making it one of the oldest and most proven weight loss systems around.
Pros
Weight Watchers uses a unique and we think rather fun point based system to keep your calories, fats, proteins and carbs within healthy limits.
This plan is great for those that want complete dietary freedom to choose what they eat but don’t want the tediousness of having to count calories or macronutrients.
Cons
If a heat and eat system is what you are looking for to make it extremely simple to grab a bite to eat without having to think about it, Nutrisystem or Bistro MD would be a better choice.

Medifast has been recommended by more than 20,000 physician’s and is another heat and eat based diet program.
Pros
What really sets medifast apart is it really shines when working with severely overweight people.
The program actually fortifies their meals with additional vitamins and minerals to help you lose weight too and their program is backed up by a couple of clinical case studies.
Cons
Medifast is a bit more restrictive than Nutrisystem or Bistro MD and we didn’t like the taste of their meals as well either.

This is the official diet given to people at the Mayo Clinic and created by their inhouse team of doctors and dieticians.
Pros
Their program is focused on teaching you how to make healthy choices in terms of both meals and exercise.
Because it’s about developing healthy habits rather than a “forced” diet plan that often ends up in temporary results, their customers who will stick with it tend to see results that last a lifetime.
It’s also a very affordable program at just $4 a week.
Cons
It does take willpower to adopt new habits and if you are lacking in the willpower department this is probably not the best diet choice to go with.
